I came across the website eartharchitecture.org and was drawn in by their opening statistic: three billion people, almost half of the world’s population, lives or works in buildings made of earth. “Earth”, in this case, includes clay, gravel, sand, silt and mud. This book showcases forty projects that show innovative use of these age-old building materials. Buff up a bit on your knowledge of architectural techniques and check out Earth Architecture.
